Sustainability at Nukus
Our mission
Our mission is to design high-quality fashion and combine this with respect for the world and the people around us. We set high quality standards for the materials we work with and the production processes. In this way, we not only ensure beautiful products but also better quality.
Manufacturers
Our manufacturers are an important part of the development of our collection. Partly thanks to their involvement and knowledge, a beautiful collection is created every season. We value good working conditions and sustainable materials.
Our promise
All manufacturers we work with hold multiple certificates. The certificates they hold include: Amfori BSCI, Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), and OEKO-TEX®.

Amfori BSCI
The Amfori Business Social Compliance Initiative enables companies to drive sustainable trade by monitoring, strengthening, engaging, and supporting businesses to trade with purpose. Through high-quality tools and training opportunities, members are supported in improving working conditions on the farms and in the factories of their suppliers.

GOTS Global Organic Textile Standard
All our organic cotton products are GOTS certified. GOTS, the 'Global Organic Textile Standard', is the leading standard for clothing made from organic raw materials. GOTS certification means that the entire production process—from growing the fibers, processing them into yarn and fabric, manufacturing the final product, dyeing, packaging, and logistics—has been carried out in a socially responsible, environmentally friendly, and organic manner. Not only is the product made from organic raw materials, but the entire supply chain meets requirements such as good working conditions, meaning no child labor. The entire chain is also monitored for aspects such as the handling of chemicals, water consumption, and water purification. For more information about the criteria: GOTS

Oeko-Tex
Oeko-tex (Ökotex) is an organization of German origin that maintains a strict policy against harmful substances in textiles. Oeko (Öko) stands for Eco, and Tex refers to textiles.
